F) Extra-Credit (50 points possible)
Two separate extra-credit opportunities (abbreviated EC-1 and EC-2 in the Blackboard Grade
Center) are limited to those presented immediately below – no other extra-credit
opportunities will be allowed and students who wish to complete two extra-credit
assignments must do one of each (i.e., you cannot do two interviews or visit two sites). All
extra credit must be completed by 4 days from now.
1. Interview someone who works in an environmental field. Describe what this person’s primary
job responsibilities are, and how the job is related to material covered in class. You must
include the person’s name and contact information (preferably telephone number) so that I can
verify that you completed an interview with them.
2. Visit the Indiana State Museum, a state/national park/forest, zoo, or aquarium. Describe
some of the environmental and conservation issues discussed and presented at this (physical)
site. How does the material presented relate to course topics?
