The first section will deal with the broader ideas and issues explored on the course (fact vs fiction, imperialism etc)
The second part will ask you to discuss specific themes in particular films shown in the course ((slavery in Burn), (The Last Supper),(La Otra Conquista, Salvador Carrasco’s (1998) film),(Aguirre. Wrath of God, (1972) ),(Walker, a True Story (1987) )). You will have a few questions to choose from for each section (answering two essay questions total). You’ll be expected to draw on course films,and readings in both sections.
