Now these are two of my classmates and I only need to make simple but coherent responses

1) Behavioral Observation – I would observe their body language whether they’re standing up straight, signs of boredom. I would also observe their motor expression whether they’re moving a slow pace or staying on top of their work responsibilities.

2) Surveys – I would pass out surveys to every room that is being occupied (preferably on their last day of stay) and ask for comments on employees in regards of attitude problems.

3) Experiment – I could hire “secret shoppers” to stay at the hotel for a certain amount of time and rate service, appearance and such. All secret shoppers would send in a report detailing their experience with the hotel and I’ll be able to access the problem from there.

As the manager of a hotel it would be my job to take the complaints from the guests relating to employee attitude and determine a root cause of the complaint. Some different types of research that would be appropriate for the scenario would be reporting, explanatory, and descriptive. Initially descriptive would be used to identify the particular employee or employees that is the cause of the customer complaints. Once the culprit is identified, reporting would be necessary to document the party guilty of the poor customer service. Finally the explanatory stage would wrap the research up. As the manager it would be my duty to inform the employee of their behavior and how it is affecting the hotel’s customers.
