Write-up:

The write-up is a 6-page (excluding figures, tables, and references), double-spaced, Times New

Roman 12 pt. font paper. Use the following guidelines:

– 1 page: Frame your study around the core literature. Integrate at least two ancillary articles to update your “key” study.

– 1 page: Identify the research question(s) and/or hypothesis/hypotheses. Describe how qualitative and quantitative analysis together can address these research questions/hypotheses. Describe explicitly the qualitative and quantitative components of your study. You cannot fulfill the requirements of this assignment without integration both qualitative and quantitative components.

– 2/3 page: Identify and discuss your sampling techniques. Describe your data collection

techniques, specifically your use of surveys, observations, experiments, online searches,

content analysis, network analysis, etc.

– 3 pages: Analyze the data qualitatively and quantitatively.

– 1/3 page: Summarize your findings and discuss caveats to your research.

– Not included in the official page count: Alphabetical list of references, tables, and figures.

Use the techniques learned in class to present your findings in a clear, compelling way. In other words, use charts, tables, and figures. You can even diagram your model if the relationships are especially complex. In your analysis and summary, highlight those findings that are especially important.
