Are geopolitical trends still important in today’s rapidly evolving international environment? Will geopolitics still be relevant tomorrow or will certain “megatrends” make them obsolete? Select a scenario from the National Intelligence Council’s publication, Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds, and briefly describe elements of geopolitical thought described in this scenario. Based on your evaluation of the scenario, make an argument in support for or against the relevance of geopolitical theory.
